Environmental Problems in Costa Rica
Like many countries, Costa Rica - a country located in Central America - also experiences struggles environmentally. One of which is the dreadful case of deforestation in the country. Deforestation is a major peril to Costa Rica's biodiversity. It causes vigorous woodlands to go shaven and then precipitates soil erosion, flood, and puts several species residing in the forests under threat. Fertilizers and pesticides, according to UN, are also causes of the befouling in the soil of Costa Rican lands, affecting the growth of crops.
